Today, Motorola’s new Edge 60 Pro went on pre-order in India, and we got ours in the mail, alongside its non-Pro counterpart!
Meet the Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Edge 60. As you can see from the photo, the Pro comes in a lovely Pantone Dazzling Blue, while the Edge 60 comes in Pantone Shamrock.
Look closer, and you’ll see that the finish on their respective rear panels is different. The blue unit has a nylon-inspired finish that harkens to a textile feel. The green phone has the usual vegan leather finish, which is the grippier of the two.
There are other differences between the two phones – the Pro has a faster SoC (Dimensity 8350 vs 7300), a bigger battery (6,000mAh vs 5,200mAh), and a special AI key on the Pro.
The 512GB Edge 60 Pro is €599, the 256GB is ₹30,000. The phone ships in a Motorola-scented box with a hard case, a SIM eject tool, and a USB-C cable.
We love the nylon rear panel. It’s unique on a phone. We also adore the color – dazzling is spot on! Motorola phones have stood out of late with those Pantone colors and scented retail boxes.
Both Edge 60 models also stand out with their quad-curved bodies and thin side rails. They feel different in a world dominated by all-flat smartphones.
Moto says the 6.7-inch screen on the new Edge 60 series is its brightest yet at 4,500 nits. The P-OLED panel is crisp and contrasty with lovely deep colors. It’s a 10-bit (1 billion colors) unit with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It really leaves you wanting for nothing. The speakers are Dolby Atmos-tuned!
