vivo finally lifted the curtains off the V60, its latest mid-range camera focused phone. The phone made its debut in India with a 50 MP telephoto camera and a large 6,500 mAh battery. It’ll succeed the Vivo V50, which was unveiled in India in February.
One of the highlights of the vivo V60 is its ZEISS-backed triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom. It’s the same telephoto camera found on the Vivo X200.
The camera setup also includes a 50 MP primary Sony IMX766 camera with OIS, and an 8 MP ultrawide angle shooter. The handset offers an Aura Ring LED flash, an AI Four-Season Portraits feature, and a Wedding vLog mode exclusively for India. At the front, the phone features another 50 MP camera with a 92 degree FOV.
The V60 gets a 6.77-inch AMOLED quad-curved display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 5,000 nits peak brightness, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
vivo V60 packs a 6,500 mAh battery that supports 90W charging and as per vivo, it is the slimmest phone with such a large cell. The phone measures 7.53 mm thin and weighs 192g (Mist Gray variant).
It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, which is paired with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The phone also gets a vapor chamber cooling system.
The vivo V60 runs Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box. The phone will receive four years of Android OS and six years of security updates.
Other highlights of the phone include, an IP68 and IP69 rating, dual SIM support, 4K video recording, and AI features including Google Gemini.
It will be sold in India in Mist Gray, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold color options. The vivo V60 price starts at INR 36,999 ($425) for the 8 GB/128 GB variant. The phone will also be available in 8 GB/256 GB priced at INR 38,999 ($445), 12 GB/256 GB costing INR 40,999 ($470), and 16 GB/512 GB model, which has a price tag of INR 45,999 ($525). It will go on sale in India starting August 19.
