Earlier this year we got the chance to go hands-on with the Tecno Spark Slim – a concept phone measuring just 5.75mm. That device is now ready for prime time and is accompanied by a second model – the Tecno Pova Slim. As the names suggest, both phones come with slender profiles, almost matching the concept version.
Tecno Spark Slim comes in at 5.93mm and weighs 156 grams, which is very impressive, even more so for a mid-ranger. Pova Slim is 5.95mm and weighs the same. To reach these numbers, Tecno had to rework the internal components like the battery, speaker, SIM card slot, and the USB Type-C connector which measures just 0.45mm.
The vapor chamber (VC) inside both phones is just 0.3mm thick, while their 5,160mAh batteries are 4.04mm. Tecno also employed its proprietary Honeycomb space stacking technology to help maximize internal space efficiency. Both phones also get an aerospace-grade fiberglass back cover, which is just 0.36mm thick.
Speaking of the back, we have a 50MP main cam on both phones, but the Spark Slim also gets a Mood Light LED bar with multi-scene lighting effects and special animations for notifications.
As for the rest of the specs, Spark Slim is equipped with a Helio G200 chipset while the 5G-capable Pova Slim gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400. Both feature curved AMOLED screens with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness.
Both come with 5,160mAh batteries offering 45W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. You also get IP64 water and dust resistance, HiOS based on Android 15 and Tecno’s AI suite.
Tecno is expected to reveal pricing and availability details for both devices later this week.
