Samsung is holding its next Unpacked event on Wednesday, where it’s widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, along with the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic.
Now, these two watches have been leaked in a couple of official-looking promo images. As you can see, they confirm the oft-rumored switch to a squircle case design for both the Watch8 and Watch8 Classic, getting them in line with what the Galaxy Watch Ultra started last year. As with the Ultra, the screens are still circular, despite the case shape.

The Galaxy Watch8 Classic does in fact seem to have a rotating bezel, just as the name would have you believe. The bezel is raised and features grooves for better maneuverability, as you can see. The Watch8 has two buttons on the right side, which is the only one we can see, while the Classic model has a third one in between.
According to previous rumors, the Watch8 family will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos W1000 chipset, just like the Watch7 series. So the design will be one of the key upgrades this year, along with a very small improvement in battery capacity.
