Last week Samsung announced the Galaxy S25 FE, a refined version of the S24 FE from last year. Among the upgrades are the full Exynos 2400 chipset paired with a 10% larger vapor chamber and a larger 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging (up from 4,700mAh and 25W on the 2024 phone).
In a teardown video, channel PBKreviews offers a look inside the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and how these components have changed compared to the previous model.
Here are some stills taken from this video and from the S24 FE teardown:
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: vapor chamber • 4,900mAh (19.02Wh) battery
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: vapor chamber • 4,700mAh (18.24Wh) battery
Samsung has done other improvements to the interior too and the Galaxy S25 FE achieved a higher repairability score of 9/10. The S24 FE was rated 8.5/10 – half a point of improvement comes from the misc. parts section (e.g. charger port and other smaller components), which are now easier to replace when necessary.
Meanwhile, we have an S25 FE review unit at the office and we are already putting it through various tests. The first impressions are positive, let’s see whether that carries through to the end of the review process.
