Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy F36 5G today in India, without much fanfare. Still, we did get a heads-up, so we knew to be on the lookout.
The Galaxy F36 5G measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.7 mm and weighs 197 grams. This package includes a 5,000 mAh battery (25W charging) and a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display. There appears to be no information on ingress protection, but we assume the same IP67 rating as the Galaxy A36. We do know that Gorilla Glass Victus+ protects the front of the phone.
The F36 5G features a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a hybrid dual Nano-SIM card slot, and a microSD slot. The phone is based on the Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset (2.4GHz Quad A78 + 2GHz Quad A55 CPUs + Mali-G68 MP5 GPU) alongside 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of thankfully expandable internal storage. The phone features SA/NSA Sub-6 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi AC, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS plus GLONASS support. It ships with Android 15 and One UI 7 out of the box, along with numerous AI features.
The camera setup consists of a 50MP, f/1.8, OIS-enabled main camera with 4K video capture capabilities, accompanied by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera and a third 2MP, f/2.4 macro camera. There is a 13MP selfie cam on the front with an f/2.2 aperture and 4K video capture as well.
The Samsung Galaxy F36 5G is available on Samsung’s India online store and Flipkart in Coral Red, Luxe Violet and Onyx Black faux leather colors, starting at INR 17,499 for the 6GB/128GB model and going up to INR 18,999 for the 8GB/128GB one. However, there are some launch offers, such as an instant discount of INR 1,000 on all bank cards and a coupon discount of INR 500, effectively lowering the starting price to INR 15,999.
