After yesterday’s big iPhone 17 reveal, smartphone makers rushed to the Internet to compare their upcoming phones with Apple’s latest and greatest. Zhou Yibao from Oppo shared some details on the Find X9 series and some photos, one of which features an iPhone.
The Oppo Find X9 Pro will feature a large 7,500mAh battery, while the smaller Find X9 will have a 7,025mAh power cell. The Pro’s battery spec was previously confirmed by Zhou, along with the thickness – 8.25mm.
Weight wasn’t mentioned, but according to Digital Chat Station, the X9 Pro will be 224g, while the vanilla X9 will be 203g and will measure 7.99mm thick. Keep in mind that they have different screen sizes – the Pro is bigger with a 6.78” panel, while the vanilla model will have a 6.69” screen.

Back to Zhou’s post, the X9 series will use “cold carving” technology and the hero color will be called “Titanium” (though the chassis will most likely be aluminum). Interestingly, the screen will have eye protection technology and will even have a mode that reduces motion sickness.
Speaking of, the entire X9 series will have flat displays and they will have the thinnest screen bezels yet – equal on all sides (unconfirmed info says they will measure 1.1mm).
According to Zhou, the X9 will bring significant improvements to video recording. Also, the phones will run ColorOS 16 out of the box, which has native support for Apple gadgets – which the exec demonstrated by pairing AirPods 4 with a Find X9.

Looking at leaked specs to fill in the blanks, both the Find X9 and X9 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 and will have 80W fast wired charging. The phones will also switch to ultrasonic fingerprint readers (the X8 generation used optical). There’s also going to be a smart key called the “Plus key”.
The Oppo Find X9 will have three 50MP cameras on its back. The Oppo Find X9 Pro will feature a 200MP periscope. We can expect an official unveiling in October.
Note that Zhou has said that leaked images of the Find X9 models are not very accurate – presumably that’s why he’s covering up the camera island in the photos above.
