Oppo has made the A5, A5 5G, and A5x (which leaked recently) official today on its international site. The A5 is not to be confused with the Chinese model that launched back in March, as it looks completely different.
The A5 has a 6.67-inch LCD screen with 720×1604 resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,000-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 4G chipset, a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP monochrome camera next to it, a 5 MP selfie snapper, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
Oppo A5 4G
It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15 on top. It will be offered in four RAM/storage combos: 6/128GB, 8/128GB, 4/256GB, and 8/256GB. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It will be for sale in Midnight Purple, Aurora Green, and Mist White.
The A5 5G has the same screen but with 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate, the same rear camera setup, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and the same battery capacity and charging spec. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. It will be offered in three versions: 4/128GB, 6/128GB, and 8/256GB in Mist White and Aurora Green. It uses LPDDR4X RAM like the 4G model, but UFS 2.2 storage.
Oppo A5 5G
Finally, we have the A5x. This one has the exact same specs as the A5 4G, but only a single 32 MP rear camera. The only other differences between the two are the A5x’s colorways – Midnight Blue and Laser White – and the RAM/storage combos, which for this model are 4/64GB, 4/128GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB.
