Today we are taking a look at the new OnePlus Nord CE5, the second phone launching next week alongside the Nord 5. We have already taken a look at the Nord 5 in a separate post and now it’s time to unbox the Nord CE5.

For those unaware, the Nord series goes Nord > Nord CE > Nord CE Lite, making the Nord CE5 the younger sibling of the Nord 5 in features, performance, and pricing.

The Nord CE5 comes in a packaging that is nearly identical to that of the Nord 5. It was actually quite easy to mix up the two boxes while taking these pictures since the actual name of the phone is only printed on the side and the back, while the front has the same basic Nord logo printed thrice, in case you miss it the first two times.

Inside, once again, we find a very similar setup to that of the Nord 5 packaging. You get the phone along with the same 80W fast charger and USB cable. There is also a color-matched case in blue.

The color, called Nexus Blue, is a striking shade of blue that is bordering on violet. This color does not do any tricks with light and textures but its simplicity is still quite fetching. The materials used here aren’t anything fancy; you are looking at a plastic frame and a plastic back, but both have a pleasing texture that make them feel nice in hand.

The Nord CE5 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset with LPDDR5X memory. The phone features a massive 7100mAh battery, which OnePlus claims charges in just 59 minutes with the provided 80W charger. On the back is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 camera with OIS and 4K 60fps HDR video recording.

More details will be revealed next week as the Nord CE5 launches alongside the Nord 5. Check back later for our full review on both devices.
