Meizu has finally confirmed the launch date of its next flagship phone, the Meizu 22. The company also revealed the phone’s design and confirmed key specifications.
The Meizu 22 will debut in China on September 15. It will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and feature a compact 6.3-inch flat 2.5D display. Back in July, the company had revealed that the phone will offer super-slim 1.2mm display bezels.
A teaser image reveals the phone’s slim, uniform bezels, a flat display, and a smaller-than-usual punch-hole cutout for the front camera. On the back, it sports a triple-camera setup housed in a square module positioned at the top-left corner.
Meizu 22 will come with a 50 MP primary rear sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It will also offer a 50 MP camera on the front.
The company also confirmed that the phone will get a 4,500mm square vapor chamber. It will weigh 190g and measure 8.15mm thick.
The handset is rumored to pack a 5,500 mAh battery as well. All details, including pricing, will be revealed next week, with pre-bookings already open through the official Meizu China online store.
