We have another new Google phone in for review – the Pixel 10 Pro. It ships in a retail box with the European Union’s new Energy label, containing information about the phone’s battery endurance and life cycles, drop resistance, water resistance, and repairability.
The lines between Google’s Pixel phones this year are as blurry as they comw. Pictured below are the 10 Pro (on the left) and the 10, and you’ll notice that both have the same stature and a very similar camera stack.
We went over the differences in the Pixel 10’s unboxing, but the Pro has nicer cameras all-around. The main, telephoto, ultrawide, and selfie cameras all have larger sensors and nicer optics.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro also has an LTPO OLED, meaning it will switch between refresh rates more efficiently, and it’s also sharper and a tad brighter.
The Pro has 16GB of RAM as standard, while the non-Pro makes use of 12GB.
The one area where the lower-tier phone outdoes the Pro is in the battery capacity – it has a 100mAh bigger battery, but those may get lost in the less efficient display tech – we’ll need to test that and find out.
The Pixel 10 Pro
The Google Pixel 10 Pro feels that extra bit more special than its predecessor. Things like the stereo speaker grilles are prettier, and the chassis is a bit more polished.
Holding the Pixel 10 Pro in your hand feels nice! But moving past the physical side, Google’s latest Material 3 Expressive interface is such a joy to use. It’s beautiful and visually stunning. Google has even tinkered with the smallest animations – like shuffling the brightness icon inside the slider when you push it to the edge.
