A brand-new chipset, larger batteries, and magnetic charging. These are the key new additions to the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The pair is visually identical to their predecessors but now comes in Moonstone (blue-gray), Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white) and Jade (green) colors.

Pixel 10 Pro is equipped with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, while Pixel 10 Pro XL gets a 6.8-inch diagonal. Pixel 10 Pro gets a 1,280 x 2,856px resolution while the 10 Pro XL comes with a 1,344 x 2,992px resolution. Both panels also offer a 1-120Hz refresh rate.
The maximum local screen brightness is 3,300 nits, and you also get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. You also get a 42MP selfie cam and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen.

The more important new addition is the Tensor G5 chipset. It’s the first Google chipset fabbed by TSMC (instead of Samsung), and it claims to bring improved efficiency, which should finally see Pixels closer to the Snapdragon flagship Android crowd.
Tensor G5 features an updated CPU, which is 34% faster than the Tensor G4, while AI tasks should run 60% faster. The new chip is also the first to run Google’s newest Gemini Nano model, and it is paired with the Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel 10 Pro series comes with 16GB RAM as standard.
But Pixels are known for their cameras and the new Pixel 10 Pro series is reusing the setup from its predecessors. The 50MP main (1/1.3″ sensor) and 48MP ultrawide (1/2.55″ sensor) modules from last year are here again and they are joined by a 48MP telephoto (1/2.55″) lens. The telephoto offers 5x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom. You can also record videos at up to 8K resolution and 30fps.
Pixel 10 Pro features a 4,870 mAh battery with 30W charging, while the 10 Pro XL boasts a 5,200 mAh cell with 45W speeds. But that’s not all, the new Pixel also supports Qi 2 wireless charging with 15W speeds on the Pixel 10 Pro and 25W on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. That’s all, thanks to Pixelsnap, which is Google’s take on MagSafe.
On the software side, the Pixel 10 series comes with Android 16 and Google’s new Material 3 Expressive UI. That’s backed by 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.
