Honor India’s Madhav Sheth is also in charge of the revival of the Alcatel brand, as we described yesterday. The brand will launch a bunch of new smartphones in the near future, one of which Sheth already teased – the V3 Ultra 5G.
Now he’s back with another teaser, this one much more mysterious. Clearly, it’s a new smartphone, one that is imagined and built in India, and “made to move across borders, pockets and lives”, Sheth says.
We can’t really tell if this is also the V3 Ultra 5G or another device – perhaps a ‘vanilla’ non-Ultra V3? Either way, it will have the NxtQuantum OS skin on top of Android, and that’s how we know it’s an Alcatel. Alcatel phones will be sold by NxtCell, an Indian company that has purchased the naming rights. They will be made by Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies.
The Flipkart teaser above promises that it will be a stylish device. That’s all we know about it so far, but at the rate the teasers are being released, we expect to find out a lot more in the coming days, so stay tuned.
