Samsung is currently in the process of finally rolling out One UI 7 based on Android 15 to its devices, following a months-long delay. Next up will be One UI 8, based on Android 16, which will hopefully arrive in a more timely fashion.
When it does, it will have the ability to AI summarize any online video through Samsung’s built-in Internet browser. This has been discovered as it’s currently in testing.
Once it’s implemented, you will be able to AI summarize any online video you come across in Samsung’s browser, and on the Galaxy S25 series the AI magic will happen entirely on-device, driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s abilities.
Right now, if you want to test this, you can by entering internet://debug in the address bar of Samsung Internet, then pressing Go, then tapping the three-line menu button in the bottom right corner, then going to Settings, then Debug settings > Single module tests > AI Summarize Settings and tapping Enable Video Summarize towards the bottom of the list.
Needless to say, you probably shouldn’t attempt this, but if you do, keep in mind that it’s unclear if the feature will work right now for everyone – it is, after all, meant for testing only. But we can all look forward to the hopefully not delayed rollout of One UI 8 when this should become fully available to everyone.
