Bose has officially unveiled the second generation of its QuietComfort Ultra wireless headphones, as the latest addition to its popular noise-cancelling lineup. While retaining the series’ renowned sound quality and industry-leading ANC, the new version also adds audio over USB-C, which was notably missing on the previous generation. They also retain the 2.5mm headphone jack and come with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable in the box.

The new QC Ultra (2nd Gen) maintains a familiar look to their predecessors. Under the hood, however, Bose has implemented several key enhancements. The proprietary CustomTune technology now works even more effectively, automatically calibrating audio performance and noise cancellation to the unique shape of each ear.

Bose says you should expect superior noise cancellation that effectively silences distractions in any environment. There’s an improved Aware Mode with more natural-sounding ambient audio. Bose is also bringing a new Cinema Mode with a wider sound stage and clear dialogue reproduction.

The QC Ultra (2nd Gen) supports Bluetooth 5.4 and the SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm AptX Adaptive audio codecs. Battery life sees a slight bump, now offering up to 30 hours of listening on a single charge with ANC enabled and 45 hours with ANC off.
