Is it just us or did Xiaomi get stingy with the cameras on the latest Redmi Note series? The vanilla model and two Pros were unveiled earlier this week in China – what do you think about them?

The Redmi Note 15 has a 50MP camera with a teeny-tiny 1/2.88” sensor and a 2MP depth sensor on the back – that’s it. To be fair, that is in line with what the Redmi Note 14 had in China, but the global model packed a 108MP main and an 8MP ultra-wide on the back.

Anyway, this model has a 6.77” 120Hz 12-bit OLED display on the front and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The vanilla model is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. It has a 5,800mAh battery, which was a good capacity until recently, but the Pros offer much more.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro runs on a huge 7,000mAh battery with relatively slow 45W charging. It is powered by the Dimensity 7400 Ultra and, unlike the vanilla model, it lacks expandable storage. The 6.83” 1220p+ 12-bit OLED display is shared with the Pro+ model. Also, the Pro and Pro+ are rated IP69 for resistance against hot water jets.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features several key upgrades over the Pro. Starting with the camera, it has a larger 50MP sensor in the main (1/1.55” vs. 1/1.95”) and it even has a telephoto module with a 50MP sensor and a 2.5x lens. This model is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and some versions of the Pro+ support satellite messaging – a first for the Redmi series. Finally, the Pro+ offers 90W fast charging, which is much better suited for the large 7,000mAh battery. Note that the global version of the Pro+ may have different camera and battery hardware, but that hasn’t been officially confirmed.

What about the Redmi Note 15 Pro?

Finally, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the best of the bunch – but is it the best for you?
