Today Apple has announced that it’s going to roll out a redesigned Blood Oxygen feature for Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 users. This will commence later today “through an iPhone and Apple Watch software update”, the company has revealed. Those updates are iOS 18.6.1 and watchOS 11.6.1, respectively.
Those who have the aforementioned models without the Blood Oxygen feature, which was removed as a consequence of a lawsuit, will now get access to the redesigned feature. The Blood Oxygen sensor data will be measured and calculated on the paired iPhone, and the results will be viewable in the Respiratory section of the Health app.
If your Apple Watch has the previous Blood Oxygen feature, there will be no changes. The same goes for any Apple Watch purchased outside of the US.
