The Samsung Galaxy A16 was hugely popular, and it’s very likely that its successor will be as well. Judging by the Galaxy A17 5G’s specs page interest in our database, we’d say it’s a certainty.
The Galaxy A17 5G is now up for sale, though you may have trouble finding one on store shelves just yet. It costs €230 at the time of this article. It ships with a USB-C cable and nothing else, just like Samsung’s entire Galaxy lineup.
There isn’t a night and day difference between the A17 5G and the A16 5G. Upfront sits the same, on paper, a 6.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, the glass on top is Gorilla Glass Victus this year.
The triple camera system also sounds the same, but the main camera has a stabilized lens.
By the way, we have the Black model, which features a nice matte finish that reflects light interestingly. There’s a white-accented edge on the camera island, too.
Finally, you get a 5nm Exynos 1330 SoC, which, depending on the chip you had in your regional Galaxy A16 5G, may be an upgrade or the same – some Galaxy A16 5G had this very same SoC, while others had the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300.
Stay tuned for our review coming sometime next week!
